Dr. Deanna Gazzerro is the founder of SNiP Vet and a board-certified equine surgeon (DACVS-LA) who has built her career on advancing access to high-quality veterinary care. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, she began her career as an equine surgeon before transitioning to high-volume spay/neuter (HVSN) medicine.

Over the course of her career, Dr. Gazzerro has performed more than 35,000 spay and neuter surgeries, and under her leadership the veterinarians at SNiP Vet have completed over 28,000 surgeries since the clinic opened in August 2021. Beyond her surgical work, she is also a dedicated mentor to other veterinarians and lectures nationally on high-volume spay/neuter techniques, helping to expand access to efficient, compassionate care across the country.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Gazzerro is a proud mom of two daughters, an active member of the equestrian community, and a devoted pet parent to her German Shepherds and cats. Her vision for SNiP Vet is rooted in excellence, mentorship, and service to the community.
Dr. Ashlee McCallin, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Ashlee McCallin is an associate veterinarian at SNiP Vet with a passion for advancing access to affordable, high-quality care in high-volume spay/neuter (HVSN) medicine. A graduate of Northern Arizona University, she went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Midwestern University, where she first developed her passion for HVSN and community-focused veterinary medicine.
Dr. McCallin has authored research on pyometra surgeries in spay/neuter clinic settings, and her work was featured by Maddie’s University as a model for how HVSN clinics like SNiP Vet can save lives by providing these surgeries in an affordable and accessible way. Her professional focus combines surgical expertise with a deep commitment to expanding access to care for pets and their families.
At SNiP Vet, Dr. McCallin brings a combination of technical expertise, compassion, and a commitment to community-focused veterinary care. She is dedicated to ensuring pets receive safe, high-quality treatment while helping to expand access to affordable services across the Valley.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. McCallin lives in North Phoenix with her two sons, along with their beloved rescue dogs and cats. An outdoor enthusiast, she enjoys rock climbing and spending time in Arizona’s beautiful desert and mountain landscapes.
Dr. Marinda Bernard, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Marinda Bernard is an associate veterinarian at SNiP Vet, where she brings warmth, skill, and dedication to every patient she treats. She completed her undergraduate studies at Penn State University before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Bernard began her career in general practice, where she cared for pets across all life stages, but ultimately discovered her true passion in high-volume spay/neuter medicine. At SNiP Vet, she combines her broad clinical background with her love for surgery to provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care to the pets and families of North Phoenix. She is especially passionate about supporting local pet rescue organizations, working closely with them to expand access to affordable veterinary care for animals in need.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Bernard enjoys life with her husband and their cats. She also loves to read, travel, and explore new experiences, making time for both quiet moments and adventurous ones. Her commitment to her patients, her community, and the animal welfare network reflects the heart of SNiP Vet’s mission of compassionate, affordable veterinary care.
